Debbie Rodan is an Honorary Associate Professor and experienced academic researcher within the Discipline of Media and Cultural studies at Edith Cowan University. She speaks and publishes on public attitudes to animal welfare, digital media use for social change, and mediated identity construction. Debbie has a proven track record as an active and productive researcher. She has authored and co-authored four international books, over 45 peer-reviewed international/national publications such as journal articles, edited journal issues, conference papers, and presented at over 60 international and national conferences.

Debbie has a proven history as a highly skilled and enthusiastic postgraduate coordinator, teacher, supervisor/mentor of PhD students, postgraduate masters by research, professional masters by coursework, and honours students. She serves on the Editorial Advisory Board of one of the most highly regarded and cited international journals in the field of media and cultural studies, Continuum: Journal of Media & Cultural Studies.
